Worca Apprentice / Worca Apprentice

Unranked. In training. No client work.

"You're here to prove you belong."

What's Expected

  • Show up every day. On time. No excuses.
  • Complete every training module assigned
  • Demonstrate basic competence in your track's fundamentals
  • Learn to use AI tools as a daily weapon
  • Submit at least 1 talent lead per month

Technical Gate

Version control, basic coding tasks, follow a PR workflow, write code that compiles and passes tests with AI assistance.

Business Gate

Professional writing, calendar management, basic CRM usage, structured note-taking, AI-assisted research and reporting.

Unlock: Pass the L2 qualification assessment. Minimum 3 months at L1.
L2

Worca Practitioner / Worca Coordinator

Ranked. Can be placed on client engagements — paired with L4+ talent.

Senior rank. First mentorship tier. Referral income unlocked. You take The Oath.

The Initiation

Getting in is supposed to be hard. Every new talent enters through a Trial Gate: a timed skills challenge, a live case study, an AI workflow demonstration, and a values interview.

Most people fail the first time. There is no backdoor.

Lineage

Your mentor matters. Their mentor matters. We track it. Every talent has a lineage chain visible on their profile. When you rank up, your mentor is recognized alongside you.

The chain is the culture.

Visual Rank System

Rank is immediately visible. No ambiguity. Badges appear on profiles, Slack avatars, email signatures, and client-facing materials.

Weekly

15-minute standup. What you shipped, what intel you contributed, what you learned, what you need. Accountability to your peers — not a status update for managers.

The Gate

Quarterly

Qualification window. Declare your attempt, submit your portfolio, face a panel of L6+ reviewers. Pass or fail, announced publicly. The community tracks who's attempting.

The Gathering

Annual

The summit. L10 Fellows speak, rank-up highlights are celebrated, the Lineage Tree is displayed, and new L10s are inducted. The one time the entire system sees itself as a whole.

The Oath

When you qualify for L4 — the first rank where you earn mentorship and referral privileges — you take The Oath publicly:

"I will mentor with the same intensity I was mentored.

I will bring in only those I'd stake my reputation on.

I will never sacrifice quality for quantity.

I will build people, not headcount.

My mentees' success is my legacy. Their failure is my responsibility."

The Gate Process

Every rank change requires passing a Qualification Gate. Fail twice in a row? Wait 6 months.

Ranks Mean Something Because They Can Be Taken Away

10 Rules of the System

  1. No buying your way in. Rank is earned through demonstrated work.
  2. Your mentee reflects on you. Choose wisely.
  3. Referral income requires activity. Leave or get benched — payments pause.
  4. One track at a time. Switching tracks resets your level.
  5. Rank is public. Wear it or work harder.
  6. L10 is by invitation. The panel comes to you.
  7. Demotion is real.
  8. Intel is mandatory. Zero contributions = performance review.
  9. The Ledger is permanent. Everything is recorded.
  10. The system is the product. Police your own ranks.

Voluntary Exit

  • Referral income stops immediately
  • Mentees are reassigned
  • Keep rank designation for portfolio ("Former Worca Architect")
  • 30-day notice required for L4+
  • Re-entry: one rank below where you left, must re-qualify

Performance Removal

  • Warning with 60-day improvement window
  • Probation: rank frozen, badge shows marker
  • Demotion: one rank down, announced publicly
  • Removal: contract terminated

Immediate Expulsion

Zero tolerance for fraud, poaching, confidentiality breach, harassment, sabotage, or gaming the system.

Immediate termination. All referral income forfeited. Rank revoked. Permanent ban. The Ledger is marked.
